Who's this lady? No credit anywhere
I love you Roman, thanks for the paint babe!
I’m curious, isn’t acrylic paint basically liquid plastic? And if so how is adding water to it any more environmentally friendly when you’re tipping liquid plastic into the waterways after after painting session? I tried to collect and evaporate my water when I used acrylics a few times and the water just stayed there in a cool climate. So the thick thick plastic you see when prolific acrylic artists evaporate their water after painting wasn’t appearing in my case. I wonder if anyone plans to make an acrylic paint from some sort of corn based plastic and not petrochemical based plastic. Until I know if one then I won’t be pouring plastic in the water I’d rather just make pretty things out of watercolours or even oil paints.
Grafwood pencils are my absolute favourites especially in the range HB to 3B. I’ve tried all the best pencils brands from all over the world and I just come back to these over and over. At first I didn’t like them: thought they were too pale and too light in the hand but the more I drew with them the more I noticed however I held them just slightly improved my drawings. I can’t say why. My writing also looks better in them. The HB feels paler than equivalent HB in some other pencils but also creamier on the paper. It’s that smoothness of clay to graphite I like too. I’m not affiliated with carandache 😁 I have criticisms like why does the whole beautiful oablo range contain no true red? Of any shade? There’s oranges veering on vermillion and some magenta and pinks but nothing in the deep strawberry to tomato to postbox range. And it’s hard to mix red with the other colours.
It had two stars across the board and they don't have it on the website anymore
Thank you for sharing your insights, very helpful information
I would love to have the opportunity to visit with you and see the process myself
According to Michael Harding’s website, there will be another 30 colours released over the next 9 months. No idea what they will be, but if he is turning the pigments from his watercolour range into oil paints. there could be a raft of perylene colours, pyrrole crimson, and most excitingly from my point of view, PBR25 Azo Brown. It’s a great mixing colour. Hope the Turner’s yellow becomes available here in Australia soon.
Please do one on blues!
Dont give painters much credit for common sense.....do we
New yellow looks interesting, which series?
I first saw the Turner's Yellow on the Art Life Michael Harding's factory tour about two years ago. At some point I gave up on it appearing on the market. This seems to be exactly the same shade.
Nice video, i do love oil paints. Those colours look great, and you are over 40??? 😊😊
Usually I'm indifferent to watercolours, but seeing this makes me very inspired to try again:-) I already played with abstract stuff like this with watercolours 20 years ago, those abstract flows between colours is what can make me really excited about it!
A good quality brush i love it
Painting with James May
What a great commercial
How even is that mossy green made?! It strikingly looks like 2 colors that aren't dont mix but just dance along the canvass.
Buddy all colors already exist you cant make new ones stupid
Has the company heard about the concept of… mixing colours?
Isnt the idea of being a painter is that you make your own colours?
I always thought the idea of being a painter was making paintings🤔
True, and they do shade colors they love already, the Pantone codes in the corner shows he gets repeatable and controllable color shades. Chefs also need high quality ingredients that look good from the get-go.
As a painter: this is true. All of us actually make our own paint from scratch using pigments and egg yolks
I want them!
They are gorgeous ❤❤❤
Dumbledore of paint
Neocolor II was the first brand that i buy, I use to paint like a watercolor pastel, from the start to the end as if I solve in water ,amazing efects, exact quantity of tint, to my brushes. About color pencils : in sharpener the points breaks sometimes
Wonderful painter like her style
Nice video, learned a lot, masterful work Jake!
Turners Yellow - Why does the paint look bright yellow (on the label and squeezed on the palette) here in the video and yet on Michael's site the color is shown as ocherish yellow-brown (in both the oil and watercolor versions)? Which is it? Every other paint manufacturer show Pigment Yellow 216 as a ocherish (sort of dark Naples Yellow) color, not the bright yellow shown in this video.
yes, I was wondering about that ocherish colour on the Miichael Harding site. The Schmincke oil versions look bright but not cad yellow level brightness.
Love the colours yet sadly Michael you charge far too much for your colours.
Just yesterday I was looking at a picture of a small work of art my daughter my daughter made when she was maybe 2 years old. One line of ink on a small sticky note piece of paper. It is so beautiful I framed it in gold. A beautiful swan in one stroke of pen which seems also like a brushstroke. Intuition even in one so young. Thank you for sharing this encouragement with us. 💛
They look nice and i generally love your paints, however im not a fan of pre-mixed colors. Ill stick to the pure single pigment tubes.
Beautiful colors! Looking forward to trying these.
Really nice!
This is so fascinating, what a wonderful opportunity ☺☺
I am ridiculously excited for the new colors!🤓 So nice to see the a bright yellow and orange that is not a cadmium. Can’t wait to see what else is coming.
I could listen to Michael Harding talk about paint all day 😊
